TOEFL Exam

Getting ready for the TOEFL exam is easy with Wall Street English.

There are many TOEFL preparation courses available but they are not all the same. Wall Street English offers a course which enables anyone who needs this certification for university courses abroad to obtain it. TOEFL, the Test of English as a Foreign Language, is recognized by universities and colleges in over 130 countries around the world, including the UK, the USA, Australia and Canada.

There are three types of exam: the PBT (Paper Based Test), the CBT (Computer Based Test), and the IBT (Internet Based Test) which is now the most commonly used.

How does the test work?

The TOEFL test evaluates your ability to combine your language skills by performing a variety of tasks. The exam lasts between 3-4 hours and is divided into four sections:

  • Reading – the candidate is required to answer questions about some academic texts
  • Listening – this consists of listening to lectures and classroom discussions and then answering questions
  • Speaking – here the candidate is asked to express an opinion about some familiar topics as well as speak about topics related to the listening and reading tasks
  • Writing – the candidate has to write an essay based on topics from the listening and reading tasks.
